St. John's Wort

Hypericum perforatum

1-3 ft tall. Grows in small clumps, consisting of a few upright separate stems. Yellow flowers with teardrop-shaped petals and a perfusion of long, thin stamens that stick out beyond the petals. Leaves are small and opposite, and do extend most of the way up the branching flower-stalk. Invasive weed.
