Very fragrant and incredibly common. Flowers come in clusters on the end up these upright stalks, and are roundish with a pale yellow center and no petals. Grows from rhizomes. This species includes several subspecies, so appearances may vary a little bit. AKA silver wormwood, western mugwort and gray sagewort. Prefers somewhat open, dry areas (such as slopes, prairies, canyons, and open woods).
