This plant has green, fern-like, feathery leaves that have a pleasant herbal scent when scratched. It has a tall stem (compared to the bulk of the leaves), which often bears an upward-pointing leaf every couple inches for most of the length of the stalk. The stem splits into several at the top, like tree branches. Each “branch” has several tiny white flowers, with light yellow centers. There are many clusters of these flowers on each plant, adding up to at least 20-25 mini–flowers per flowering head. This plant is a common ornamental used in gardens and landscaping as well as a wild species. It can sometimes be considered a weed, due to its aggressive growth and tendency to carpet the soil.
